Bonnie E. Fish

Immediate Past President and Executive Officer

Bonnie Fish is the Director of Legal Research and a partner at Fogler Rubinoff LLP where she has practised since 1984. Bonnie holds an LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1984. She holds a D.L.S. from Oxford University and an LLM in Securities Law from Osgoode Hall Law School. She is the author of many published articles and has been an Adjunct Professor teaching Legal Research and Analysis at the Jackman Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto for over 20 years.

Bonnie is the immediate past President of ICRF,  a position she held for five years, and she has twice co-chaired the Women of Action Event. She has proudly served as a member of the Board of Directors of ICRF since 2016 and as a member of the Executive Committee since 2017.

Bonnie is deeply committed to community. In addition to her roles at ICRF, she served as a board member of Kehilla Residential Programme and chaired their Sukkaville event committee. She is also a founding member of the Toronto Research Lawyer’s Group.

Bonnie’s motivation for joining ICRF was the passing of her dear friend Dr. Kerryn Baker, who died of stomach cancer at the age 53. Bonnie realized that more resources had to be devoted to fighting cancer. With this goal in mind, she joined ICRF and was instrumental in creating two Librach family ICRF research funds: the Beverley Librach Abshez Initiative for Ovarian and Female Reproductive System Cancers in memory of their aunt who died of ovarian cancer and the Machla Liebe Librach Stomach Cancer Research Fund in memory of their grandmother who died of stomach cancer.

Bonnie and her husband Arthur are proud parents of three young men, Zachary, Ely and Joseph.
